Interns are highly valued members of our company. We have a small full-time professional staff and rely heavily on our interns. We trust
interns with significant responsibilities in each department in
the belief that it's an extremely valuable way to learn the
practice of theater. That being said, we sadly report that
internships are often unpaid, and we are unable to provide
housing.Interns are expected to work approximately 20
hours/week; schedules are decided individually with department
heads. If you are interested in applying, please send a resume along with a cover letter which inludes the following information:
- What are your career goals?
- What are your goals for an internship with The Empty Space
- In which department are you interested in interning? (You can list more than one; we are often able to design an internship that allows an intern to work in more than one department.)
- Are you interested in a Summer Internship or a Season Internship?
