POSTCARD PLAYS

ON STAGE JUNE 7 & 8!

What happens when a playwright has only 4”x6” on which to capture their theatrical event? What happens when a director tries to lift it off the tiny page?

For the past couple months, the editors of Play: A Journal of Plays have been publishing a limited edition series of postcard-sized plays, asking playwrights to explore new strategies of playmaking. Now they join forces with The Empty Space Theatre to present two evenings of Postcard Plays in the brand-new Lee Center for the Arts.

Six postcards will be staged by Seattle-area directors at The Empty Space Theatre, June 7 and 8, 2006. All six postcards are included with admission, so that audience members can follow along on their own copies.
